Tradesman won't come back to correct a bad job. What to do?

Posted by Ross Williams, on
Had a job done which proved to be faulty. 2 weeks later tradesman still won't come to fix it. Now he's stopped replying to my messages. What are my options apart from leaving a bad review?

Hello Roses, Leaving a bad review will hurt. But you asked this site for a tradesmen and this site introduced you to one, so call rated people up and ask them what you should do. Just to be clear :- this site does not check tradesmen qualifications, the only way rated people find out about a bad tradesmen is when this happens. Good luck. Regards Michael

Hi Ross I would try to contact him again via whichever means possible and explain the situation again to him. If you tell him that he will leave you with no option other than to leave a negative rating. It will be in his best interests to rectify the work because other prospective client's will be able to see your negative rating. Hope this helps. Sam (eps)

Hi Ross Do not worry to leave a bad feedback as it will prevent future customers to employ him. I would suggest to contact Rated People if he does not responding to your messages or calls an explain them what happen so they will be happy to advise what to so next Best regards Rafal

Hi Ross, Sorry to here about your misfortune, In my opinion I would write to the tradesman offering him one last chance to rectify and if he doesn't then leave your feedback based on the scenario, at times we can all make mistakes/unforeseen. however if we are allowed to rectify then 9 out of 10 do so. depends on the cost of the repair you may be able to claim this, ? Good Luck Steve
