I have a leak under the floor in the bathroom, tilled floor with underfloor heating (which I do not use) will the floor need to come up? would the leak be difficult to find?

Hi Geraldine it depends really if the floor is wooden and the tiling is in good condition and you don't want to disturb it you could remove a section of the ceiling below to locate the leak. If you have a damp patch on the ceiling below this is where the leak is most likely to be and should be the first place to investigate. hope this helps. Ed

Hi Geraldine Before you will make a hole in a ceiling I would siggest to remove bath panel then run water to see if shallow bath trap is not leaking. If it is dry without leaks please pure water on sides using shower hose where bath is covered with tiles and silikone. Check any visible connections under a bath for signgs of drips etc If you will not spot a leak there leak must be underneath your floor so this will required making a hole in a ceiling I hope this will help Regards Rafal
