Boiler repair or replacement?

Posted by Laura Jones, on
Our Worcester boiler is approx 12 years old. For around two months our hot water keeps turning icey cold intermittently and we were told we would need a diverter valve. In the meantime our central heating has stopped working properly, only getting lukewarm even when thermostat set at 30c. Plumber suggested it could be overheat stat. Is it worth repairs or time to replace?

Hi Laura We always recomend to post a job on main website because some of a job needs to be seen bedore any advice is given. Our service is free of charge with no obligation quote and our tradesmans are happy to help with every aspects of jobs. I would strongly recomend to post a job on Rated People home page then 3 companies will get in touch then you would be able to choose the right person as you would receive an e mail with a link to tradesman account where you would see a pictures and you will read revious from previous customers. I hope this will help Best regards Rafal

Worcester is as most know a good product on the other hand not much is built to last nowadays and 12 years ain't bad but get the hot water and c/heating thirmister changed 2x parts about £50 there sensors very common fault but a combi to combi swap is an easy job so maybe it's Time to replace... Good luck Laura
