Flashing flame detection indicator

Posted by Jane Field, on
Flame detection indicator was flashing on my Worcester Bosch 28i combi consequently the heating and hot water is affected and it then needs to be reset, the plumber changed the two sensors, unfortunately this hasn't rectified the problem and he now says it needs a new control panel, is it worth having this done or should I have a new boiler as this one is approx 10yr old?

Hi jane I recantly had this same problem and it was the PCB that was faulty a new board cost around £150 and there's the fitting charge as well so you've got to weight it all up but here's a cheap get out that I do for some folk go on to eBay and put in boiler make and model and you'll prob get the part for £30 that's an option for you it's better than replacing the whole lot.

What would you like to do now?
