There is a bad smell coming from my toilet in a ground floor flat. The smell lingers all day and does not get significantly worse/better when it is flushed. Water flows normally and there doesn't seem to be a smell in the bath or sink. When i looked at the soil pipe at the back of the toilet there seems to be a gap between the soil pipe and the pipe it is going into. Is this normal and should i be able to see some sort of seal? I have photos it's difficult to explain! Thanks
