Bath overflow pipe away from the bath

The overflow pipe has come slightly away from the bath so any water going through to the overflow is leaking through on to the wood underneath. Is this a job I can do myself to reseal and if so what would you recommend

Hi Andrew if you think you are competent to attempt to reconnect the pipe then it's worth having a go. The waste could be push fit- simply push the pipe back into the fitting or it might be compression- undo the fitting and push the pipe back in making sure the rubber seal is pushed up and then retighten the fitting. If you can't do it get a plumber. Ed
