Hi Julie . First step : check power supply . If shower is powered you have to call for electrician to check connection inside of shower . He can also can check immersion element . You will have to pay for fault finding but you will know reason why your shower not working properly . Second step : decision . Depend of situation you have to make decision about repairing or replacing shower unit . In my opinion If shower is older than three years I suggest replacing whole unit .
