How long can you leave chemicals in a radiator for?

Had a plumber recommended from this site to fit a new boiler. He put chemicals in the radiators and said he will be back in a week to flush them and put some more chemicals in and check the boiler. After numerous calls and excuses he's either to busy or ignoring our calls. It has now been 7 weeks. Can these chemicals cause permanent damaged to our radiators?
