Draining down water system

Posted by Carole Davis, on
My insurance stipulates that I need to drain down my water system when my property is unoccupied. What does this involve and does it require both water supply system and heating system be drained? How do I refill systems when property reoccupied? Also, how expensive is this type of work? Many thanks.

You will have to call a plumber to close the main valve for the water and drain the heating sistem . Some plumbers are charging by the hour others by job. Should be from 150£-250£
