Kitchen sink draining too slowly

The water from my sink still drains slowly, and blocks easily although we have had someone rod it through and vacuum it three times. Each time this produces some improvement but then it goes back to the same problem. What might be a cheap but effective way of clearing whatever the problem might be?

something like this is usually caused by poor installation often the only way to cure it is to cut out and rerun properly the classic example is long runs under floors when houses have been divided into flats pipework laying flat on the ceiling below
