Low Pressure when 2 taps or more on

Posted by Ijaz Ali, on
I have 2 inlets for the main water to the house. Previously I had one go to a cold water tank for the bathroon and an inlet directly for the kitchen. I used to get great pressure for the hot water and very low pressure for the cold water so I decided to remove the cold water storage tank. Now when the washing machine is on or the toilet is flushed the pressure for the taps or shower goes to a trickle. OMG. What is the solution for this as it is driving me insane and annoying people in the house ?

Hi, start with the basics - check the stop cock is fully open! If that doesn't help you can; 1) Fit a cold water storage tank at a higher level than previous position 2) Re-instate previous cold water storage tank and add a pump 3) Install a mains booster pump 4) Upgrade the mains supply pipe into the house
