Shower mixer

Posted by Melanie Beadle-Hewson, on
I have just had new mixer taps and shower off the aps installed the flow from the taps is ok but the shower heads the water practically dribbles out. DO you think i need a pump fitting or do you think it has been installed incorrectly.

Hi Melanie do you have a gravity fed system? ( tanks in loft and cylinder in cupboard) the taps are they lever action? Only turn a small amount instead of winding them traditionally? The shower is it a thermostatic shower (chrome bar/ mixer)? If you have a gravity fed system on the items I've mentioned then you're hot water delivery isn't adequate for them you can improve the shower via a pump fitted by the cylinder. Taps well you're options are Change them Change system to combi boiler/unvented system Fit a he pump but depending on hot water storage it might not work. Hope this helps John
