Hi Dominik did the customer give a reason for not paying? If there was an issue with the work carried out they should give you the opportunity to rectify the problem rather than just withhold payment. If no reason was given and the quality of work is good then I would pursue them for payment through the small claims court. It's not just about the money, it's the principle that they think they can get away without paying! There are customers out there who will try it on! Ed

Hi Dominik, In my experience clients don't pay because they are unhappy with something, if you agreed the price up front then there really isn't any cause for complaint on the price but if the quality isn't what the customer expected then you may have to go back and do it again. I find its best to keep the lines of communication of and not back your self into a corner by threatening legal action which will just cost you more than the job. If you can't make the job any better then try to agree a discount, say 30% off and accept what you can get, move on and do a better job next time having learnt that some customer are difficult to deal with in some situations. Good luck. Richard.
