Depending on the type- One fitted in the top centre of a cistern lid will likely unscrew (gently) to allow you access to the cistern. Or it may be connected by a cable which operates the siphon, this will be clipped onto the button from underneath. There should be a slide clip on the connector which can be moved to allow the cable assembly to separate from the push button. Happy to assist of you need further help.
