Hello Chris, My guess is that something has fallen down the toilet and has got stuck in the u or the waste pipe. Easy DIY if you wanted.

The water rises in the toilet each time it's flushed. It goes back down quickly so doesn't seem blocked as the water doesn't stay up. But it takes a few flushes to get rid of anything. Need some advice. Thanks
