Toilet Flush

Posted by Patricia Woodall, on
I have a problem with the flush on my toilet. The cistern won't fill up but water is continuously running into the toilet bowl. The make of the toilet is Ideal Standard. Please advise.

Hi Patricia, Is the water sitting around half way full or is it very low near the base of the cistern ? Water Half way or above - A faulty float valve, depending on make/model you can change a washer but best to replace the valve as they are not expensive. Water very low or at bottom - faulty siphon, replace siphon.
