Maccerator

Posted by Sally Powell, on
A maccerator that was installed during a loft extension nearly 4 years ago has started making a quiet humming noise after it has flushed, which finishes after a few minutes. Does this mean it needs replacing, and if so, does it need someone other than a plumber? It is still functioning OK. Thanks

The humming noice could be from any number of components internationally, this could just be from general wear and tear. However without a survey it’s difficult to diagnose therefore if it persists or gets worse seek professional help.
