Overflow running

My overflow pipe from the header tank on the loft is running. I've had a look in both tanks and both ball cocks appear ok. It stops when I press the arm up. However it starts again after I use the shower (It's a thermostatic mixer one) do you think its worth while changing the ball cocks or is it the shower? Also my shower is fully tiled so will all of the tiles need ripping out?
