Replace a kitchen tap

Posted by Angela Wright, on
Kitchen tap has been dripping on and off for many months (?years)- have had a plumber look at it some time ago and replaced washers etc but I think it needs replacing. Husband says "I couldn't see a join for detaching the "tails" with a nut, so my concern is that the tails are just copper pipes that have been welded/ braised in place." NB there appears to be no flexible pipes under the current taps.

This is how taps were done before flexi connectors you would have to cut the pipe and put isolating values in place . The new tap will come with flexi tails to connect to valves
