Boiler issue

Hi, I have an electric boiler in my house and it makes a very very banging vibrating and humming noise when the hot water goes off. I had a plumber come the other day to have a look at this and he said there is nothing I can do? But as I search on Google everyone says it can be fixed and it could be various reasons why it makes this noise. Who is right? Thank you!

Fit an in-line expansion vessel on the dhw pipework as close to the noise as possible. A mini vessel is around £55 + whatever labour. It’s a relatively easy task if there is space to work on the pipe!
