Leaking shower tray and crack in grout

Posted by Adrian Ruta, on
So i have just moved into a new place and my shower seemed to be both leaking from a crack in the grout on the tiles under the shower (it is raised of the floor about 8" to allow for drainage pipes etc i suppose) It was also draining really slow. I manage to vigorously with a plunger unblock the drain which produced a lot og debris etc. The issue i now have is that the unblocking of the drain didn't fully help the slow draining. So now if the chrome high flow cap and cup is in it will drain really slow... Whereas if i take them out it drains fine! There is no gunk around the cap as i have cleaned it. It is also still leaking from the crack in the grout. Looking for advice as my landlord is based abroad and not much help and i can't afford a plumber costs etc

What would you like to do now?
