No hot water

Posted by David Griffiths, on
Im getting no hot water out of the taps. The central heating is working fine. Ive replaced the diverter valve. That didnt work. So i thought it was an airlock. So i crossed the hot and cold feeds and turned them on. The water just went up the valve pipe and in to the attic and out of the overflow pipe at the side of the house. Any idea what it could be?

Not sure if you are saying that no water is coming out of the hot water taps or just that the water coming out isn’t hot If it’s the latter try opening the motorised valve manually using the lever on the side it could be that the hot water thermostat has stopped working
