Plumbing trouble

We have a plumbing problem. Our water bill more than doubled last month. The water company said we have a leak on the property but the water detector came up with nothing. What could it be?

Could be a leak under the floor that the detector isn’t picking up. Easily identified once you know where to look. Should be water damage if the bill has doubled.

Check that your toilet is not constantly running as this won’t show up on a thermal camera If you have a water meter turn all the taps off and switch off heating take the reading then go back in 10 mins if the readings match then you don’t have a leak get water company to check the meter
