Toilets not filling

3 toilets have all stopped working. What could cause the problem for all 3 to stop filling at the same time?

if the toilet cisterns are "tank" fed, (i.e a cold water storage tank in the loft or roof space) it may be that the tank for whatever reason has emptied and is not re-filling. it could be that the ball valve in the loft tank is jammed up and not allowing any water in. if all the cold basin taps are working then that is where i would look first
