Hi.. If it's been siliconed down then that toilet cistern is unacceptable for repair if you have Syphon/flush mechanism problems. will be hard to open without braking the ceramic or plastic. A new cistern will be required. £££

Just having a bathroom refit and one of the many problems was a loose toilet system lid that’s keeps sliding off. I mentioned it to the problem who agreed to fix the problem by probably replacing the lid until last night I noticed white hard gunk coming from the lid where it has been permanently glued down. Do I have reason for concern
