Newlec Kitchen Water Heater is making loud noises for long periods

Whenever I use the kitchen taps, then drain the water the kitchen water heater starts to make a bubbling streaming noise with all of the water and this lasts for around 24 hours sometimes, it’s very noisy and sometimes wakes me up at night. What is the problem?
