Dishwasher installation

Posted by Matt Andrews, on
I'm trying to install a new dishwasher but the water supply hose has a filter on the end and there isn't enough space to screw directly onto the supply valve as the cabinet is in the way, what is the easiest way to get around this problem? I would like to fit an elbow adaptor between the valve to the hose connection but can't seem to find what I'm looking for online. I'm not up to speed with plumbing lingo.

Throw the filter out. Unless you’re being supplied from a well your mains should be clear of most particles. If you’re worried ask a plumber to fit an in-line combination valve that will have a line strainer in it.
