So i decided to relieve my leaky kitchen pillar tap after having already replaced the washers. after. a bit of fiddling i got the old one out and connected up the new one. i applied ptfe tape to the threads on the tap feed however the copper water feed pipe slots into the end of the tap feed and has no thread on it. the bit used to secure obviously immediately started to spread out water as soon as the water was turned back on... so my question is do i need a push in straight tap connector and is that likely to be a 15mm to 1/2 one?
