Hi - I have had an issue with the loo making a foghorn type noise in recent days. I cleared the water from the system after turning off the water supply, though the problem has persisted. I have just taken the lid off the loo tank and lifted the ball up as far as it would go to test it, though there was no noise. I have flushed a few times since and the noise appears to have gone. Surely, it can't be so straightforward and the problem HAS ben solved?
Or do I need a new fill valve/ball cock?
