I am pretty sure my neighbor is creating a water hammer noise in my house. It only happens when I enter the bathroom or kitchen and I don't have to use any water or anything I just walk into the room and the noise happens and that's literally the only time it happens I don't hear it when I use my water or washing machine or use the toilet. It feels like my neighbor knows when we enter these rooms and then creates this water hammer noise. I have even sneaked into the kitchen once to see if it would happen and it was so quiet until I coughed loudly and then I heard what sounded like my neighbour turning on his kitchen tap and shutting it off really quick and the water hammer noise happened. I know it sounds crazy but that's what I heard. I have talked to my neighbour a few times but I always get this weird vibe from him and I don't feel comfortable talking to him about the noise because I am pretty sure he is doing it on purpose. I would like to know if this is possible and what can I do to fix this issue.
