We have just paid a fortune for a plumber to install a new element and thermostat in our immersion tank as we were not getting hot water. We still have no hot water although the top element is working on boost. The timer is correct, the boost light lights up when the timer enters the heating up period as normal, but the element does not heat. An electrician says the electrics are in order. We do t want the plumber back but what can we do? I know it was a new element as I saw the box and it is exactly the same as we had before. Please don’t tell me we have to pay another plumber again to drain tank and check that the element he fitted was functioning? Thankyou
