Having moved into to a new build apartment we are experiencing a knocking /tapping noise when apartment above runs their dishwasher which we think could be due to thermal expansion /contraction (plastic piping, glued joints). Developer says "less than likely as pipes are plastic. That said their plumber told me water in dishwashers doesn't get hot! Any advice appreciated, including how to deal with this annoying problem.
