I have a water leak in a pipe above my water tank and the boiler is in a different room. The water leak only occurs when I heat the water and I have been putting a bucket underneath it and the water is clean but it is red, smells like metal. I don't use hot water most days but the water from my shower is now smelling metal too. Please let me know why water is smelling like metal and what I need to do to fix it. Do I needa plumber or gas engineer?
