Underpinning.

Looking at buying a house that had suffered from subsidence twenty years ago and was underpinned at that time. Should I be wary of buying it?

No problem if the owners have a structural report after the work was done to state was now ok.

If it was done that long ago and there are no signs of further movement You should be ok. However, if there are any cracks/signs of movement I would stay clear.

Under pinning is a very specialist job , done by experts , many times by the insurance company , in every case I have seen , it's fixed the problem for good . I think twenty years is long enough to see if it worked !
