Posted by Mark Lafferty, on
My girlfriend and i have just purchased a property in W12 and would love to extend the property. Where do we start in reference to planning permission and drawings ? We want to know if its possible, and how much do we need to save ?

Hi Mark Yes you will need planning permition. I would suggest to employ architect he will go through all plans and will apply for building reg doc and planning permition

I would check with local council first and find out what is required. It is a free advice service.

Hi mark, you can extend your property out 3 metres by the width of your property with just building regs. Thats single storey only double storey needs planning permission. Your can apply for building regs at your local council as for cost depends on spec roughly £17k single & £35k double.

What would you like to do now?
