Hi Stuart The pumps are usually sealed units and would need replacing. If it is plugged in to a normal socket, a plumber can swap it. If it is hard wired to a fused switch, an electrician would be required.

My shower pump when left switched on but not in use, makes an intermittent growling type noise and stops when switched off at the mains. Is this a plumbing job to repair or electrical
