I am about to purchase a flat and have seen some mould patches in the downstairs bedroom. The mould is growing in the bottom corner of the inside wall, behind this is bathroom and the other side of the bedroom is outside.
No pipework is in the wall and I can't see this as being rising damp.
I was told the previous tenants didn't open the windows so no ventilation was created.
I am unsure of where the cause is originating from and what sought of specialist/tradesman to call out?
Or could it be as simple as, open the window and get some wire
