Hi Bill Will very much depend on your budget. Personally i would go for block paving as it is the most versatile. Tarmac can look great if done correctly. There are many examples of poor pattern imprinted concrete driveways out there and the final cost is comparable to block paving so personally i would steer clear. Maybe consider breedon gravel as would be cheaper than the above and unlike loose shingle forms a nice tight surface. Hope this helps Mark Surrey Hills Landscaping
