We want a 3-car driveway across the front of the house creating to replace the existing drive/garden area. Most drives are concrete or flags/block paving but I've seen some nice tarmac drives edged in soldier bricks but I'm concerned about wear of the tarmac over time - oil dripping from cars, weather, etc. Can you offer any advice on whether a tarmac drive is a good enough surface to look ok and last, e.g. 10 years, etc.?
I believe tarmac is cheaper than flags / block paving and this is obviously a factor.
