Hi Ian, I know of no contractors that will do this work for you but if you go down to your local hardware store , buy a garden sprayer and fill it with Mould and fungus remover (for roofs) one application to the timber will kill it .

Treatment of mould on roof timbers
Following work on insulating our roof we got mould on the timbers. The company has since returned to fit ventilation but the mould has not gone. They will not treat this so I have been searching for a company that will, but with limited success (with only 1 local company). What sorts of companies will do this work?
