Can you please tell me if there is any way to test gas level in my fridge freezer?
The freezer part of my FF works perfectly okay, the fridge part is dead. I had an engineer who looked inside of the fridge part and said that we needed a new FF, as this one was low on gas. I had a second engineer's opinion saying that it might have been defrosting timer fault. He suggested to fully defrost the freezer for 24 hours and then switch FF on again. if this helped then he would change the timer and some other parts, with the labour it will cost £200. I had followed his instructions and both parts of my FF worked okay again but for 10 days only.
Now, my question is how can i be sure that i am not waisting £200 changing the defrosting timer, whereas the actual problem can still be low gas level. is there any way to test it.
