Condensation Problem?

Hi, We have suddenly developed what I can only call wet patches on the upstairs wall, (looks like someone has thrown a drink down the wall is the best way I can describe it) I think it might be condensation as the windows are getting moisture on them too, what is the best solution. Do you have velux windows? If yes they have not been properly installed, the walls around the window have to taper down to the window frame and must not be 90* to the frame
