Cavity drain waterproofing for a semi basement.

Posted by Christopher Wellings, on
My basement has one wall(front of the house)that is entirely below ground level(subject to hydrostatic pressure). The side walls have voids adjacent to them so NO soil touches them and the back of the basement faces fresh air as the rear of the property is lower(by the height of the basement) than the front. 1) Can I use a cavity drain system for the front wall and direct the drainage channel to the rear of the property to drain passively to the back garden into a soak away instead of using a sump pump? 2) is it a requirement of regulations that the 3 walls with no source of hydrostatic pressure be waterproofed or can a chemical DPC be installed as any other dwelling would have? Thanks for any reply.
