Roof advice

Posted by susan doidge, on
Damaged Playbarn/ sports hall Roof at our school. The problem we have is the height of the roof. The access with a very uneven slope around the building. The roof is fragile and made up of "double six"(assumed) chrysotile asbestos cement sheets under standard asbestos profile corrugated profile cement sheeting again in (assumed) chrysotile and perspex sheets. The roof has a shallow pitch over a floor area of 480m2. The old bolts have sheared in a small section of this roof which depending on which way the wind is blowing the section lifts and lets the rain into the building. Our structural engineer explained we need a specialised company that deals with asbestos and high, fragile roofing. Any advice on this would be great. Thanks
