Hello,
I have been living at my property for about 6 years now. It is a ground floor flat with two bedrooms.
In the spare bedroom, I keep having the issue of what I believe to be rising damp causing what appears to be a white substance on the wall above the skirting board and the occasional black mould. It is only on the exterior wall and to a far lesser extent the same issue occurs in the main bedroom.
The white substance is generally about 30 cm in height rising from the skirting board, except in the corners of the wall where it rises to twice this height.
Please can you advise what can be done about this?
