Improvements found in a survey for a potential house

Posted by Eve Goldman, on
Hi, I had a survey completed for a potential house I am buying for which I have had an offer accepted. I had a survey complete and the following things listed below need improvements and work doing. I was hoping I could get an estimated quote for how much it would all cost including tradesman. If anyone has any idea please let me know! Sorry for the long list below! Lots to be done: Roof tiles missing and broken areas - heavier roof slates applied but nothing else adapted - more ventilation? Roof timbers possibly replacing/strengthening Mortar pointing falling apart around the house generally Better damp proof course in walls - bitumen in place now- damp detected and plaster coming away Window locks and catches are broken The double glazing has condensation inside Sealant around windows and back door has gaps Front door cracked/damaged - need new Need new back door Ceiling plaster in back room and landing area cracked and damaged More ventilation in upstairs bathroom High damp meter readings in upstairs front bedroom and kitchen - damaged plaster in cellar on wall The basement has not been tanked and so will need tanking if possible and better insulation Boundary fencing to rear of property is damaged Sorry it’s such a long list, it all came as a surprise! Thanks
