Our walls aren't straight or flat - granite up stands aren't flush to the wall in all places - will a tiler be able to tile in such a way to hide this fact?

Hi Dani, It should be possible if the tiles you choose are reasonably thick 8mm or 10mm+ you can 'bed up' the back of the tiles with adhesive, this depends of course on how big these gaps are behind the upstands. Try smaller tiles they will lend themselves better to the uneven wall and you won't have as much problem with tile lippage as with bigger tiles. Hope this helps Steve
