Removing coatings of sealers from travatine tiles.

We had travatine tiles fitted to a new bathroom floor and the tilers applied a sealer and we were recommended to apply a Resiblock indian sandstone sealer to improve the effect; this was disastrous, it appeared to liquify the original sealer and cause dirty streaks; can anyone recommend a suitable solvent to clean the tiles ?
