Replacing a conservatory roof with a tiled roof

Posted by Wendy Nevett, on
We are thinking of replacing our conservatory roof with a tiled roof. Do I need to contact a specialist conservatory roof fitter or would a general builder/roofer do? Also do we need planning permission?

Wendy, It all depends what kind of tiled roof you want for your conservatory. Interestingly, there is a relatively new type of conservatory roof on the market. It is called the Warm Guardian roof. It is a tiled roof with various tile finishes available, and comes with extensive insulation, hence the name. We have installed quite a number of these now, and the response to the roof has been excellent. Look it up on the internet and see what you think? Whatever roof you go for, I would certainly contact a reputable conservatory fitter or builder experienced in conservatory installations. Hope this helps Rob Saddleworth Window Outlet
