Window leaks

At rainy day, water drips from top of window where the firm joined the brick wall, windows in kitchen and dining room both suffer from same condition, there are two bed rooms above them. In of the bed room there is small ventilation , around ventilation are damp, there is no damp around wall near the celling, l did pointing the wall last year which l have been told by builder, thats did not stop the problem, now l have been told to need new window, will it be stop the problem? Could you help me, it would be really appriciate. Thanks maryam

Hi Maryam, It sounds like the windows have not been fitted correctly or have not been sealed correctly when installed. We have fixed many windows and doors with similar problems to what you have described. You have not said what the windows are made of? Wood or UPVC if they are wooden windows are they rotten around the edges? UPVC can you see any gaps around the window where water could get in? I would imagine that its a smaller job than you think but without seeing the problem it's hard to advise or give you a better solution to your problem.
